Why is everybody on a "Things I've Always Wanted To Do" kick?
Who knows! But if you can't beat 'em, you may as well join them. So here you go. This is definitely a work in progress.
- Pay off my student loans (I know, lame)
- Get a passport (Not sure where I wanna go yet though)
- Have a family of my own
- Legally buy a lottery ticket, some alcohol, and go gamble in a real casino!
- Visit Coke World and M&M world in Las Vegas.
- Swim in the Ocean. (How is it even possible that I have seen both the Atlantic and Pacific and never been in either?!)
- Meet a famous musician backstage. (Prefereably Taylor Swift because we have the same name or Will Pugh because I think he is beautiful, but I'm not picky.)
- Play the big piano at FAO Schwarz
- Sled down Old Main Hill
- Buy a nice camera (I don't wanna give a specific because by the time I can actually afford it, everything out there now will be outdated.)
- Watch a sunset in Hawaii

Math is hard. I quit.
So, I know I'm terrible about keeping a blog. Sorry. Maybe eventually I'll get around to updating everyone on my life. But today, I need to vent. Many of you know that I was a math major until recently. Well, turns out that I don't like math. I liked math because it was easy to me in high school. But as the math classes get harder the more I realize that I don't like logic, I don't like mathematical reasoning. I think it's boring, and kind of irrelevant to my life. Now, a lot of people say I just don't like it anymore because it's harder now and I'm giving up. But no, it's not like that. I spend hours upon hours doing my math homework and studying for assignments and tests that more often than not, I barely pass, probably because the hold time I am studying I am bored to tears. So ya, it is discouraging. But I still try. I try to understand it and I don't and that makes me bitter and I don't enjoy it. So I give up. That's right, I'm throwing in the towel math. You win. Since I didn't want to waste all my credit I am still getting a math minor. Well, this is my last class in order to complete that. But the odds of me passing with at least a C- are not looking all that great. Wish me luck anyway. And if I don't pass I will truck through this stupid analysis class again and hopefully pass. But I don't want to because I hate math. There. I said it. Stupid math anyway...

EARTHFEST
I love concerts. They're just great. :D And I love going to concerts with my dearest Megan. Saturday Megan, Mason and I went to Earthfest 3 put on by Mix 107.9. It was great. Downtown Fiction made my day. They have a song called "Thanks For Nothing" Check it out, if it doesn't make you giggle, I don't know what will. Here's the pic!

I want sunshine!
This spring really sucks. It just rains rains rains. All the time! I'm sick of it! I want it to be summer!!! Grr. So really, I'm posting this blog to talk about how awesome Mason is. The sunshine stuff is just because I'm sick of it being sunny all day and the as soon as I get off work it's cold and windy and rainy. Ugh. Right, now about Mason...
Can I just say how hilarious it is when people ask us how we met? HA. It gets a little awkward. But I've gotten to the point where I don't even care! He's just so great, it really doesn't matter. (Side note for those that don't know... Mason and I met while I was dating his younger brother Jacob.)
First off, he puts up with my crazy "missions." When I am on a mission, it's usually best to just get the hell out of the way before you get run over or I yell at you for not reading my mind. Yesterday, I was on a mission to set up a home office AND find a place in my already over crowded room for the 32 inch TV that was just "donated" to me. :) (THANK YOU CARRIE!) I had asked Mason to come help because I'm not strong enough to move a lot of the furniture by myself. Anyway, we spent about an hour and a half on this little project of mine, and the whole time he was just so dang helpful! I adore him for that. He's such a good sport.
I love that Mason and I spend quality time with BOTH of our families. It's great to just go hang out at his house with all of his younger siblings, or go to their soccer games or whatever. But then we can also go to a movie with Tavin and just have fun. Especially when Tavin starts throwing popcorn at Mason. (It was kind of a "you had to be there" moment, but it was HILARIOUS, I'm still laughing about it 2 weeks later.)
This past weekend Mason and I went to Shosone falls with my family. For those of you who haven't ever been there, it is absolutely beautiful and 100% worth going. We had a really good time and I loved watching Tavin and Mason climb over the mountain made of all the rocks. He fits in so well with the fam, it's never awkward. Our trip got cut a little short when disaster struck and Mason's basement flooded and we had to rush back to SLC, but it was just amazing how well everything worked. He had fun with my family and I went and helped his family tear apart their basement. Do you know how amazing it is to feel so welcomed and loved by people who aren't your family?
Mason's aunt Casey moved to Vegas this past weekend and she pretty much BEGGED he and I to come down and help, which we declined. But she texted me the other day to tell me she could use a cupcake. So random, and has a back story, but I loved that she feels comfortable and close enough with me that she just texted me. I loved it.
I love feeling comfortable and confident in my relationship. I love knowing that the people I love and care about the most are happy for me. :) Life is pretty dang good right now. Pretty dang good.
So let's just all take this moment to "Count our many blessings" and be grateful for all the things we're given that we sometimes don't even know we need. There's a song by Darius Rucker called "This" and it talks about how grateful he is that he missed out on all of the things he was disappointed about. But things all work out. And it makes it ALL worth it.

Give.
So this scholarship contest is supposed to be one image that represents what you want for your future. I want to be a mommy and a philanthropist, so I thought a picture representing giving time, love, and money was perfect. Not my best artistic work, but I like it all the same. :)

Funny things professors say.
So I have this professor that is from New Zealand. And sometimes he says stuff that is just funny. Especially when you throw the accent in. For example:
"Sorry folks, that's real life!" Not so funny on it's own, but he's my stats professor so he says it about EVERYTHING. It just gets funnier every time. Especially when you're thinking to yourself "How is this ever going to be useful in the real world?"
"In statistics, there is no gender fence. Either you're a man or a woman." Who knew?! ;)
